IMPACT OF DIFFERENT ORGANIC MANURES AND NPK APPLICATION ON THE GROWTH AND YIELD OF TURNIP (BRASSICA RAPA L)


 A pot experiment was carried out to check the impact of different organic manures and inorganic fertilizers on growth yield turnip, at Horticulture Departmental experimental area, Faculty Agriculture, Gomal University, D.I. Khan, during 2012-13. The laid in RCD with seven treatments replicated three times. Treatments contained control (no fertilizer added), FYM @ 25 t/hec, Poultry manure 10 Goat 15 Press mud 20 Sewage sludge t/hec NPK 120-65-100 kg/hec. Data leaves per plant, leaf length (cm), fresh weight plant (g), dry root diameter total biomass (g) (ton ha) recorded analyzed statistically. results revealed that all parameters were significantly enhanced by application NPK. Maximum values treated plants, as compared under studied, producing 13.22 29.90 cm long leaf, (52.83 g), (11.15 (7.07 cm), (7.23 (241.20 (22.25 (313.37 (382.40 g) 382.40 ton hectare).
